The restaurant is one of the new concepts to feature on Norwegian Aqua

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to introduce Planterie, it's first-ever restaurant offering a dedicated plant-based menu. The restaurant will also feature a new upscale bar concept, Swirl Wine Bar.

The forward-thinking additions are among the new culinary concepts on board the upcoming Norwegian Aqua.

The cruise line's latest ship will also be home to its first Thai specialty restaurant, Sukhothai (pictured).

Norwegian Aqua is due to enter service in April 2025 in the Caribbean from Port Canaveral in Florida as NCL’s latest Prima Plus class ship.

Other changes have been announced. One of the ship’s main complimentary dining rooms, the Commodore Room, will feature a new maritime design.

The Sail & Sustain cocktail bar is relocating from mid-ship to the aft of deck seven, with a grand piano and a small entertainment space.

The whisky bar will relocate to deck six near the Swirl Wine Bar, while Belvedere Bar will move to deck eight at the heart of the atrium, and other venues will be expanded to handle more passengers, including pub-style Local Bar & Grill, Japanese hibachi outlet Hasuki, and Cagney’s steakhouse.
