Resorts World One ship will homeport in both Dubai and Doha
Asia-based cruise line Resorts World Cruises is expanding its footprint to the Arabian Gulf with the launch of its Resorts World One ship homeporting in Dubai and Qatar.
From 18 October 2024, for six months, Resorts World One will sail from Dubai on a two-night Sir Bani Yas Weekend Cruise departing Friday); a three-night Oman Cruise to Khasab and Muscat departing Sunday; and a two-night Doha Cruise departing Wednesday.
Guests can combine two or three itineraries to increase the cruise length to a four, five or seven nights.
Resorts World One will also add Doha as a homeport during Qatar’s school holidays from 24 October to 2 November 2024 offering a two-night Dubai Cruises (departing 24 and 31 October) and two five-night Dubai-Khasab-Muscat Cruises (departing 26 October and 2 November).
Resorts World One will operate from Hamdan bin Mohammed Cruise Terminal at Mina (Port) Rashid and is expected to make 75 calls in the region with 150,000 passengers over the six-month period.
Resorts World One offers a selection of cabins, including Interior, Oceanview and Balcony staterooms and luxury suites in The Palace, a luxury ship-within-a ship all-suite enclave with an exclusive restaurant and 24-hour butler service.
Facilities include a spa and the Roman-themed Parthenon Pool with its Caesar’s Slide and Jacuzzis, while entertainment spans live stage shows, parties, games and recreational activities, movie nights, enrichment workshops and duty-free shopping.
As well as outdoor shisha lounges, there are 18 Halal-friendly restaurants serving international, Asian, Arabian and Levantine cuisine.
Muslim cruise passengers will be an important market segment for Resorts World One, which will receive official certification from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Standards and Metrology Institute (SMIIC) to provide Muslim travellers with Halal-certified offerings onboard. Pork will not be served at any venue and all meat will be sourced from UAE’s approved Halal suppliers. Certified vegetarian and Jain cuisine will also be available. In addition, onboard public announcements will be made in both the English and Arabic languages.

As well as catering to GCC travellers, Resorts World One aims to attract a new segment of cruise passengers from Asia to the Arabian Gulf cruise market and contribute to the growth of cruise tourism in the region.
