New members include urban luxury retreats and remote hideaways
Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest independent hotel brand, is set to add several new properties to its portfolio in the coming year.
The properties will be added in urban, countryside and coastal locations, with each aiming to “immerse guests in the essence of the destination through bespoke activities, exceptional cuisine and authentic local experiences”.
CEO Lindsey Ueberroth said: “We are excited to unveil these highly anticipated new openings, including two standout properties joining our prestigious Legend Collection, which represents the pinnacle of ultra-luxury hospitality."
New openings include:
Peter Island Resort, Peter Island, British Virgin Islands (Legend Collection)
Opening: December 2024
Based on a Caribbean private island, the newly rebuilt Peter Island Resort opened on 1 December. The 52-key resort has five beaches, an infinity pool, spa, fitness centre, saltwater pool, outdoor relaxation areas and an alfresco hot tub.

Royal Hideaway Corales Villas, Tenerife, Spain (LVX Collection)
Opening: March 2025
The 139-key resort will offer rooms with views of the Atlantic Ocean and La Gomera. The resort will include a wellness area and the hotel’s culinary offerings include two à la carte restaurants; a pool bar, breakfast buffet and cocktail bar.
ÓROS, Crete, Greece (LVX Collection)
Opening: May 2025
Situated on the slopes of the White Mountains of Western Crete and overlooking the Cretan Sea, this beach resort will have 117 rooms with private pools, four restaurants, three bars and lounges, a supersized adult-only pool with day beds and a spa and wellness centre.

Opening: Summer 2025
The first hotel to open under hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co, the property will have 81 guest rooms and suites. The rooftop floor will offer a signature suite with a private terrace, dining, relaxation and wellness space. There will also be a European brasserie, cocktail bar and two private dining rooms, along with a wellness floor featuring hot and cold experience cabins, an active salt therapy room and gym.
Romègas Hotel, Valletta, Malta (LVX Collection)
Opening: June 2025
Set in Malta’s capital, the hotel is a restored 500-year-old palazzo originally built for the Knights of Malta. Due to open with 23 rooms and suites, the property will offer views from traditional Maltese balconies, while the rooftop pool overlooks Valletta, the bay and Manoel Island.
