Abu Dhabi updates Covid-19 regulations

The new rules require citizens and residents to show proof of vaccination on the Al Hosn app

Abu Dhabi has revised the regulations surrounding Covid-19 testing and home quarantine for vaccinated  UAE citizens and residents.

From 3 May, vaccinated travellers arriving from ‘green list’ countries must take a PCR test on arrival and on day six of their visit; they do not need to undergo quarantine.

Vaccinated residents and citizens arriving from countries that are not on the ‘green list’ must take a PCR test on arrival and quarantine for five days. They must then take another PCR test on day four after their arrival to the UAE.

The new travel update applies to vaccinated UAE citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi 28 days after receiving their second dose, with their vaccine report displayed on the Alhosn app.

Countries currently on Abu Dhabi’s ‘green list’ are Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Cuba, Greenland, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Israel, Japan, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan (ROC), Tajikistan and the United Kingdom.
