Reporting directly to Kyp Charalambous, Vice President of Sales, Walsh will now oversee Atlantis Dubai’s worldwide leisure sales strategy, managing both domestic and international markets while ensuring alignment with the brand’s broader commercial vision.
Charalambous says Walsh has already proved himself a “trusted deputy and future senior leader,” noting that his expertise in the global leisure landscape will be vital in generating new opportunities, deepening relationships in priority markets, and ensuring both properties continue to attract guests through their unique experiences.
He added: “Dean’s proven track record, strategic vision and unwavering commitment to excellence make him the ideal leader to guide our sales team through its next chapter of growth.”
Most recently, Walsh’s impact has been evident in helping to position Atlantis The Royal on the global stage following its landmark launch in 2023, aligning sales strategies with the group’s evolving commercial priorities.
Commenting on his promotion, Walsh said: “Atlantis Dubai represents the pinnacle of hospitality and I am excited to continue building on the success of our extraordinary portfolio. Our focus will be on driving sustainable growth in key leisure markets, while ensuring we deliver experiences that reflect the unique magic of both Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal.”
Opened in 2008, Atlantis, The Palm is an ocean‑themed property featuring extensive marine and waterpark attractions, including Aquaventure waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquarium. Atlantis The Royal, which opened in 2023, offers 795 rooms, suites and penthouses, several with private pools, and is home to the world’s largest jellyfish aquarium and a collection of restaurants by internationally renowned chefs.
