Dr Rita Rakus treats celebrities and royalty at her London and Monaco clinics

Raffles The Palm Dubai has partnered with world-famous aesthetician Dr Rita Rakus to attract the growing segment of wellness travellers to the ultra-luxury UAE hotel.

A selection of Dr Rita’s famed face and body treatments are now available at Raffles The Palm Dubai’s Cinq Mondes Spa.

Dubbed the Machine Queen for her in-depth knowledge of anti-ageing technology, Dr Rita’s clinics in Knightsbridge, London and Monaco are frequented by celebrities and international royalty.

The beauty industry trailblazer is also the only aesthetic doctor to have their name on the Wall of Honour at the Royal Society of Medicine.

Treatments include the 90-minute ‘Machine Queen’ Maximum Jetlag Recovery Treatment, which costs AED1,150 and reduces the symptoms of jetlag on the limbs using air-pressured trousers and shock wave technology to accelerate oxygen supply and the Dr Rita Rakus Monte Carlo Brilliance Facial. Originally developed for attendees of the Monaco Rose Ball, the 90-minute facial treatment costs AED1,400 and employs advanced lifting technology, including ultrasound, radio frequency and infrared LED to stimulate collagen for an immediate lifting and plumping effect.

Spa guests can add and combine individual treatments, including Dr Rita’s powerful face and body boosters, Exilis machine radiofrequency energy and ultrasound therapy and Deesse Mask Pro medical grade light therapy masks, while advanced medical grade skin analysis is offered using the Visia system.

Many of my patients from Dubai travel to my Knightsbridge, London clinic for my unique treatments, and now I can offer so many of these to them in their home market.

Arriving at the luxurious Cinq Mondes Spa, I’m greeted by the warm and welcoming Dr Rita who quickly educates me on her portfolio of treatments now available in Dubai. Dr Rita’s expertise in beauty tech is evident as she succinctly summarises what today’s aesthetic machines can achieve, as well as what practices should be avoided.

The Dr Rita Rakus Ultimate Award-Winning Red-Carpet Facial begins with cleansing followed by exfoliation and extraction using a powerful suction device rather than fingers to squeeze blocked pores, which Dr Rita tells me is far less damaging to the skin. It literally sucks my skin clean, lifting dead skin cells and pore blockages while depositing a cocktail of nutrients and antioxidants.

More active ingredients are sewn into my dermis using a needle-tipped pen to gently puncture the skin, allowing it to absorb the benefits more easily. In the final step, the Exilis radio frequency device is used to direct heat deep into the skin to stimulate collagen production. The warm sensation is never uncomfortable.
