Premium Economy cabin and entertainment offering impress consumers and industry judges
Dubai-based carrier Emirates has achieved a hat-trick of industry accolades in recent weeks.
The largest airline in the Middle East was crowned the winner of ‘Best Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity Middle East’ at the 2024 Pax International Magazine Awards in Hamburg, Germany, for its combination of internet access and 6,500 channels on its ICE system.
Further to this, the carrier won ‘Best-Inflight Entertainment’ and 'Best Premium Economy’ in the 2024 AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Awards.
Emirates' ICE entertainment platform has thousands of channels and content is refreshed monthly. Customers can now curate their watchlist before they fly by pre-selecting movies or TV shows on the Emirates app.

In addition, Emirates is said to have invested more than US$300 million on connectivity. It was one of the first airlines to enable connectivity in 1993 and was the first carrier to launch an inflight mobile service in 2007.
Its Premium Economy Class cabin has also received positive feedback from both customers and industry experts. Travellers are provided wide seats, a six-way adjustable headset, free amenity kits and a welcome drink upon boarding.
Premium Economy is currently available on 15 of Emirates routes including, Dubai to London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, New York and Los Angeles.
