The emirate came second to Europe's most popular city
Euromonitor’s recently released Top City Destinations Index 2022 has named Dubai as the most attractive destination in the region for a second consecutive year.
Paris claimed the title of the World’s Top City in 2022, also retaining its position for the second year in a row.
The UK-based market research company lists the top cities based on multiple factors, including business activity, tourism infrastructure and potential for investment, technological advancement and sustainability developments.

The top 10 cities – Paris, Dubai, Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome, London, Munich, Berlin, Barcelona and New York – featured a concentration of European destinations, with only Dubai and New York representing the world beyond the popular tourism continent.
International tourism is projected to record a 112% growth in 2022 in inbound spending and has been one of the key factors behind the resilient global recovery post-Covid
This year a total of 14 destinations in the Middle East and Africa feature in the Top 100 City Destinations Index, compared to 16 in 2021.
