The Saudi Arabia launch is the brand’s first venue outside of the UAE
Contributing to the growing trend of Dubai-born hospitality brands branching out to Saudi Arabia, Akiba Dori has made its first international expansion at Jeddah’s The House Hotel.
Located in Jeddah City Yard, a new urban development, Akiba Dori Jeddah is inspired by the food halls of Japan.
Founder Samer Hamadeh, said: “The thought process behind the expansion is to continue to deliver on the promise we made when we opened our doors in Dubai, three years ago. Our goal was to make Japanese food as accessible as possible to everyone in Dubai.

“Akiba Dori is a Japanese restaurant for people who have never been to Japan. Our food is comfort food above all else; it is something that everyone can experience, enjoy and celebrate”
Much like its Dubai outpost, the menu will feature a selection of Japanese street food classics, with dishes including sushi, Japanese curries, sandos, sliders and gyoza dumplings. Akiba Dori’s signature Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizzas prepared in a Japanese wood-fired oven will also feature.
The restaurant has a 130-person capacity split between indoor and outdoor seating areas as well as a terrace with expansive city views.
