Dubai-Beirut flights will operate from 1 February 2025
Emirates is set to resume flights to Beirut (pictured), following a four-month hiatus.
The news comes after the ceasefire in Gaza was declared. Flights to the Lebanese capital had been suspended since the end of September 2024.
From 1 February 2025, the airline will operate daily flights between Dubai in the UAE and Beirut in Lebanon. A second daily service will begin from 1 April.
The outbound service will depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 11:30, arriving in Beirut’s Rafic-Hariri International Airport (BEY) at 14:00. The return service will leave BEY at 15:30, landing in DXB at 21:20 local time.
From 1 April, a second service will leave DXB at 07:30, arriving in Beirut at 10:30. The return service will leave BEY at 12:05, landing in DXB at 16:55.
This move by Emirates follows the resumption of flights between the UAE and Beirut by a number of regional airlines. Air Arabia restarted its daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Beirut in December 2024 and between Abu Dhabi and Beirut in January 2025, and Etihad, the national airline of the UAE, recommenced its direct daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Lebanon in December 2024.
The return of flights to Lebanon will bring a much-needed boost to tourism, a key pillar of the economy. Lebanon's direct tourism receipts totalled US$5.4 billion in 2023, equal to around 25% of GDP.

Emirates is also reinstating its service between Dubai and Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, from 1 February.
Monday and Wednesday flights will depart DXB at 08:05, arriving in Baghdad International Airport (BGW) at 09:50. The return service will leave BGW at 11:25, landing in Dubai at 14:35.
