New service, starting from July, to go daily from November
Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, is increasing its new service to the US city of Atlanta before it even takes off, due to popular demand on the route.
Launching with four weekly flights from 2 July 2025, the service will run daily from 1 November.
That means Etihad will operate the UAE’s only non-stop service to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Atlanta is a major hub for business, technology and transportation. The city blends renowned Southern hospitality with a vibrant cultural scene.
“Since announcing our flights to Atlanta, we’ve seen great interest from guests, and that’s why we have decided to step up to daily flights on this already very popular route,” said Jurriaan Stelder, Senior Vice President, Network and Alliances, at Etihad Airways.
“Connecting Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest by passenger volume, with our growing global network means seamless one-stop connections to some of Atlanta’s most popular South Asian destinations, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Karachi.
“It also offers more opportunities for guests to visit our wonderful home Abu Dhabi as part of a stopover break or a longer holiday.”

Atlanta is one of 13 destinations being added to Etihad’s network in 2025, taking the total to 110. Those include Warsaw and Prague (June), Al Alamein and Atlanta (July), Taipei (September), Medan, Phnom Penh and Krabi (October), and Tunis, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, Hanoi and Algiers (November).
Premium guests flying from Abu Dhabi to the US with Etihad Airways can now enjoy an enhanced passenger experience at the US Preclearance Lounge.
Zayed International Airport has the only US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility in the Middle East, and one of only a few worldwide.
This allows passengers to complete US customs and immigration paperwork before boarding their flight in Abu Dhabi and arrive in the US classified as domestic passengers, saving time on arrival.
Etihad Airways carried 18.5 million passengers in 2024, up from 14 million in 2023, an increase of 32%.
Etihad’s fleet of modern aircraft grew from 83 in 2023 to 97 in 2024 while the total number of destinations served also rose from 67 to 71.
