Etihad opens early check-in facility for Abu Dhabi passengers

Service allows passengers to check in up to 24 hours before their flight

Etihad Airways has opened an Early Check-In facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The service will be available until 31 December, allowing passengers to check in between 24 and eight hours before their flight.

Passengers can check in and drop off baggage on behalf of family members travelling together, provided that they present the required travel and Covid-19 related documents for the entire group.

The early check-in desk is open from 9am to 4am, seven days a week, and is located at Skypark Plaza level three. Guests using the facility will receive two hours of free parking at Skypark.

Passengers can also check in remotely using Etihad’s Home Check-In service. The service, available for a fee starting from AED22, allows customers to check in bags, pick a seat and collect their boarding pass and bag tags before leaving the house. 

According to the airline, the service was launched to mitigate delays caused by the expected increase in passengers travelling through the airport due to next week’s Golden Jubilee celebrations and the upcoming winter holidays.
