FHS World to mark 20 years in the UAE

Next event will focus on global transformation of hospitality industry

Future Hospitality Summit – FHS World will return to Dubai for its 20th year from 27 to 29 October 2025.

The region’s leading hospitality and tourism investment event, previously known as the Arabian Hospitality Investment Conference (AHIC), welcomed a record 1,596 attendees in 2024, from more than 60 countries.

The FHS World Advisory Board met in Dubai to discuss and shape the vision and agenda for this year’s event.

According to data from Knight Frank, the UAE will add almost 27,000 new hotel rooms to its hospitality offer by 2030, two-thirds of those being planned just in Dubai. This will bring the total to nearly 240,000, enough to accommodate the 40 million tourists the country aims to attract.

FHS World will focus on the transformation of the hospitality industry in a rapidly changing world. Topics such as global economic trends, new business models in hospitality, sustainable tourism, hospitality investment, lifestyle hospitality and wellbeing will be covered.

There will also be sessions on investment opportunities in Asia, Europe and Africa.

“This will be a very exciting year for us as we celebrate our 20th anniversary in the UAE, and at Madinat Jumeirah where it all began in 2005,” said Jonathan Worsley, Chairman of The Bench, organisers of FHS World.

Immersive features at the event will include the TenX Leadership Talks, Roundtable Discussions, Country Pavilion Showcases, the Branded Residences Forum, Sustainable Hospitality Challenge student competition and ESG Lab.

FHS holds two annual events in the Middle East in Saudi and the UAE.

This year, FHS Saudi Arabia takes place from 11 to13 May 2025 at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah in Riyadh, followed by FHS World in Dubai at Madinat Jumeirah.

“It’s a pleasure to once again sponsor and host FHS World at Madinat Jumeirah, marking the summit’s 20th anniversary in the UAE. This milestone reflects both the summit’s growth and Dubai’s transformation into a global tourism and hospitality hub,” said Thomas B Meier, CEO of Jumeirah.
