Trade-only tour operator Gold Medal unveils Abu Dhabi campaign

The UAE capital plans to incentivise UK travel agents

The UK’s trade-only tour operator Gold Medal has launched trade promotional campaigns with the Abu Dhabi tourist board.

Supporting sales material includes a mini-brochure with offers for 2022 departures, in-store merchandise and social content.

From mid-November, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism, Gold Medal is giving agents the chance to win one of four Fortnum & Mason hampers by completing a quiz about the destination.

A winner will be announced each week, with the hampers delivered in time for Christmas.

Kerry Gallagher, Gold Medal’s marketing director, said: “Abu Dhabi is attracting a lot of interest in the recovery. Last month, room nights booked in Abu Dhabi grew over a third compared to September, with the average value of those bookings rising by nearly 50%. So, we’re only too happy to help agents improve their knowledge of them, capitalise on that demand – and be in with a chance to win some very special prizes.”
