Giacomo Puntel brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience

Giacomo Puntel has been appointed as General Manager of Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai.

Located in Barsha Heights, the five-star property has 339 rooms, suites and apartments, alongside a pool, spa, health club and a ballroom.

A seasoned professional with more than 30 years of international hospitality experience, Puntel brings a wealth of expertise in hotel operations, as well as in hotel pre-openings, concept development and profitability management.

A resident of Dubai for nearly 20 years, Puntel joins Grand Millennium from voco Bonnington Dubai, where as General Manager he led a team of 200 employees, achieving strong performance improvements and elevated guest satisfaction scores for the property during his tenure.

On his LinkedIn profile, Puntel said he had “successfully driven innovative strategies, aligning with the organisation's objectives to outperform market trends and led initiatives that enhanced our competitive edge in the bustling Dubai hospitality scene.”

Prior to this, he held senior management positions at a number of luxury hospitality brands, including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Rixos Hotels & Resorts, Anantara Hotels & Resorts, and Grosvenor House Dubai, where he served in senior roles including as Resort Manager and Director of F&B.

Outside of the UAE, he rose through the hospitality ranks to become restaurant manager at The Connaught Hotel, one of London’s most prestigious addresses.

He holds a Master’s degree in Hotel Management from Università Bocconi di Milano.
