Beachfront property to open in 2026 after extensive renovation

Hotel giant Hilton and real estate developer Mabanee have teamed up to deliver a 330-key Hilton Kuwait Resort, marking a transformative renovation of an iconic property in Mangaf.

Slated to open in 2026, the resort will be the largest coastal resort in Kuwait offering a seaside setting spanning 1.3 kilometres of beachfront in the south of the country, 36km from Kuwait City.

The renovation will include a substantial upgrade of the property, featuring enhanced guest rooms, chalets, and villas as well as new amenities such as outdoor sports areas, a beach club and spa and multiple dining options.

“The resort will bring the features of our flagship brand to life, contributing to Kuwait’s budding tourism industry and connecting travellers in this sought-after location on the coast," said Carlos Khneisser, Vice President, Development, Middle East & Africa, Hilton.

Hilton Kuwait Resort will offer guests a range of dining options featuring the best of local and global flavours and leisure facilities will include a spa, fitness centre and indoor and outdoor pools.

It will also be home to a 2,100-square-metre ballroom and seven state-of-the-art meeting rooms.

Hilton has three properties in Kuwait and has previously partnered with developer Mabanee on other hotels, including Hilton Garden Inn Kuwait and The Waldorf Astoria Kuwait, which opened its five-star doors at The Avenues in 2022 and this year has retained its double five-star rating in the Forbes Travel Guide 2025.

Among Kuwait’s newest hotel openings is the Hampton by Hilton Kuwait Salmiya, a 110-key property located near the revamped Blajat Beach, and Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Apartments Kuwait, with 280 rooms and suites offering sea views and beach access, and 70 serviced apartments.
