IHG to open four Hotel Indigo properties in Egypt

IHG and real-estate specialist Mountain View to open properties in four areas of the country over the next seven years

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open four properties under its Hotel Indigo brand in Egypt.

The group will partner with real-estate specialist Mountain View to open the new-build hotels, each in distinct regions.

The first property due to open, in July 2024, is the 100-room Hotel Indigo Mountain View North Coast. It will offer views of the Mediterranean Sea and facilities will include a spa, health club, pool, high-end retail and dining areas, and 165sq m of meetings and events space.

It will be followed in January 2026 by the 200-key Hotel Indigo Mountain View iCity New Cairo. Located close to the American University, it will cater to business travellers.

The remaining hotels are both scheduled to open in January 2028. The 200-room Hotel Indigo Mountain View iCity 6th of October City will be located in the Giza Governorate, 32km from Cairo, while the 150-room Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ain El Sokhna will boast a tranquil setting amid mountains and beaches.
