Marbella Resort has a 'raining street' and nine coral reefs

The company behind the master development of the UAE’s Heart of Europe project, Kleindienst Group, is set to launch the Marbella Resort Hotel, Vignette Collection by IHG Hotels and Resorts, on the World Islands, Dubai in the UAE in January 2026.

The 150-key luxury hotel will be IHG Hotels and Resorts’ first Vignette Collection on the World Islands. Guests will have the option of suites, chalets or cabanas.

Drawing inspiration from the architecture of the Spanish resort town of Marbella, the resort aims to bring with it a Costa Del Sol experience to the UAE.

Complete with a kilometre-long ‘raining street’ that brings a cooling downpour every few minutes, the US$272 million luxury resort will be home to nine different types of coral reefs with more than 30 species of fish.

There will be six restaurants, providing guests with various iterations of authentic European cuisine, with cooking stations and small tapas-style offerings, cafes and beach bars, and even an après ski bar connected to a 'snow plaza'.

Facilities will include an authentic hammam experience as well as a broader menu of wellbeing offerings at The Arabian spa.
