Aviareps appointed to raise awareness and promote Korea to Saudi visitors
Korea Tourism Organisation has opened its first representation office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Aviareps has been appointed to market and promote South Korea in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the aim of fostering stronger ties between the two countries and boosting the number of visitors from Saudi to the east Asian country.
The move follows a rebound in foreign visitors to South Korea in 2023, reaching 63% of pre-pandemic levels.
Following its appointment, Aviareps will educate travel agents about South Korea and target inclusion in more of Saudi Arabia’s tour operator portfolios. In addition to boosting overall numbers it aims to increase visitor spend and extend average length of stays.
Ju Lee, executive vice-president of international tourism for Korea Tourism Organisation, said: “Korea is rapidly emerging as a premier destination for travellers from Saudi Arabia and the wider region, offering a delightful fusion of premium travel experiences, unique shopping districts and rich cultural and culinary experiences. Furthermore, Korea's prominence as a leading centre for beauty and medical tourism is also on the rise.

Aviareps has a network of 70 offices across 65 countries, offering tourism, aviation and hospitality representation, plus marketing, public relations and communications.
