Twice weekly services to begin 1 June 2026
Oman Air is set to launch a new Muscat–Tashkent route, providing the first-ever direct air link between the Uzbekistan capital and the sultanate.
Flights will commence on 1 June 2026, operating twice weekly between Muscat International Airport (MCT) and Tashkent International Airport (TAS). The four-hour service will strengthen connectivity between Oman and Central Asia, marking the airline’s first-ever destination in the region. Full flight schedules are yet to be announced.
Taskhent will be Oman Air’s eighth new destination since December 2025, highlighting its ongoing international expansion. Currently, the carrier flies to more than 45 destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa.
Known for its rich Silk Road history, Tashkent is home to multiple Islamic architecture sites and bustling markets. Travellers can explore ancient mosques and narrow alleys in the Old Town or visit the Tashkent Tower, the tallest structure in Central Asia, with a height of 375 metres.
