Refurbishment introduces four brand-new venues and 54 additional cabins
Celebrity Cruises has relaunched Celebrity Solstice following a bow-to-stern refurbishment, marking the ship’s return to service with eight new experiences across dining, entertainment, outdoor living and wellness. The 2008-built vessel set sail from Singapore on 2 March for its first voyage post-renovation, revealing four newly added venues along with 54 new cabins and expanded accommodation options.
The refit marks the first phase of Celebrity Cruises’ US$250 million modernisation programme for its Solstice-class fleet, announced in May last year.
Among the four new spaces debuting on Celebrity Solstice is Sunset Park, a half-acre, top-deck outdoor venue with private cabanas and flexible space for activities including yoga sessions and lawn games. The adjoining Sunset Park Café introduces casual bistro dining for breakfast and lunch, complemented by an expanded Sunset Bar.

Dining has also been upgraded with the launch of Trattoria Rosa, serving Roman and Southern Italian dishes, and Fine Cut Steakhouse, offering 30-day dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood.
Entertainment has been enhanced with the addition of two new venues. The 125-seat Boulevard Lounge will offer all-day programming, from karaoke sessions to interactive game shows, while The Parlor brings a relaxed sports and gaming atmosphere where guests can enjoy billiards, darts and classic board games, or watch live sports on the big screen.
In The Theatre, two production shows are set to make their Celebrity Solstice debut: Smoke and Ivories, combining 1950s music with piano performances, vocals and aerial acrobatics, and Rockumentary, a reimagining of landmark rock concert moments.
Accommodation upgrades form another key focus of the refurbishment. All existing staterooms have been refreshed, with 54 new cabins added, bringing the total to 1,479. Four new categories have been introduced: the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, two Panoramic Ocean View Suite categories and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View.
Guests staying in The Retreat, Celebrity’s luxury ship-within-a-ship enclave, benefit from an enhanced private sundeck with hot tub, upgraded seating and a redesigned lounge.
Meanwhile, the AquaClass staterooms have been refreshed with spa-inspired touches, including massaging shower heads, aromatherapy diffusers and in-room yoga mats, along with complimentary access to Blu restaurant and The Spa’s Persian Garden.
Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge said: "Celebrity Solstice launched our Solstice Series ships and defined a generation of Celebrity Cruises travel.
