Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is a 42-villa retreat on Qatar's untouched west coast

An hour’s drive from the Qatari capital of Doha and nestled on the edge of the UNESCO-protected Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve, Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is now open.

Launched in partnership with national airline carrier Qatari Airways, the luxury resort has 42 villas, ranging from one to four bedrooms, each featuring private pools and outdoor decks with views of the Arabian Gulf.

This opening marks the first Our Habitas property in Qatar and the brand's second destination in the Middle East, joining its AlUla property in Saudi Arabia.

According to the company, the opening "forms part of a new multi-destination hotel circuit in the region, creating experiences for a deeper discovery of new destinations, culture, history, diverse nature and people".

Inspired by Qatar’s heritage, Our Habitas worked closely with cultural partners to conceptualise programming, brought to life through the brand’s core pillars of music, art, culture, wellness, adventure, food and learning.

Guests can partake in complimentary daily activities, including stargazing, stand-up paddle boarding and glass bottom kayaking to explore the waters of the Arabian Sea, while paid-for activities include hands-on Sadu weaving workshops, calligraphy classes, clay pottery and the art of handcrafted incense making.

The resort features 41 spacious villas with large outdoor decks

Land adventures include guided mountain biking, hiking and desert explorations of the neighbouring UNESCO-protected Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve to learn about the land's history and discover its natural wonders.

The resort’s dining destination, Qissa, celebrates Arabic, Qatari, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, with its kitchen centred around an open coal and wood fire grill serving from breakfast through to dinner.

Within the onsite Beach Club, majlis-style seating and a central firepit provide space for guests to unwind with drinks and snacks.
