New non-stop service follows airline's 62% growth in outbound passengers from Germany in 2023
Qatar Airways has launched a direct daily service from Doha to Hamburg, the airline’s fifth destination in Germany.
Flights depart Doha’s Hamad International Airport on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 8:35am, arriving in Hamburg at 2:10pm. Return flights leave the Hamburg at 3:40pm, arriving back in Doha at 10:40pm.
Flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday leave Doha at 2:15am, arriving in Hamburg at 7:50am, with the return services leaving Hamburg at 9:20am, arriving back in the Qatari capital at 4:20pm.
Awarded the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for the eighth time this year, Qatar Airways saw a 62% growth in outbound passengers from Germany in 2023 compared with the previous year.
The flights are expected to offer up to 11% growth in Hamburg’s cargo sector compared to last year.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer: “As Qatar and Germany’s bilateral relations continue to strengthen, we are pleased to begin this route, which will further reinforce important economic and trade ties between the two countries."
First Mayor of Hamburg, Peter Tschentscher, added: “Hamburg is an international city with centuries-old trade relations with all continents. Good flight connections via Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt are important for the economy, science and culture of the Hanseatic city."
The new connection further adds to the airline’s route network of more than 170 destinations globally. Other destinations in Germany served by the airline include Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich.
