Qatar Airways is resuming its service to Malta, with four weekly flights from 2 July 2025.

This move will increase connectivity and expand Qatar Airways’ network to nearly 50 destinations across Europe.

Wednesday and Friday flights will depart Doha Hamad International Airport (DOH) at 02:05, arriving in Malta International Airport (MLA) at 06:45. The return service will leave MLA at 10:15, landing in DOH at 16:20 local time. Monday and Saturday flights will depart DOH at 08:45, arriving in MLA at 13:25. The return service will leave MLA at 17:05, landing in Sharjah at 23:10.

Passengers can travel with the World’s Best Airline (according to Skytrax in 2024 ) to the Mediterranean island nation and visit the ancient fortified city of Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and sister islands, Gozo and Comino.

The capital city Valletta features Baroque architecture, and winding streets lined with atmospheric cafes and restaurants. With 4,000 years of history, the old capital, Mdina, has been used as a location for many films and popular TV show Game of Thrones. Malta’s Fort Ricasoli also features extensively in the recently released Gladiator 2.

The reinstating of this route by the airline also means travellers from Malta can benefit from Qatar Airways’ extensive network of more than 170 global destinations.

“Qatar Airways is delighted to announce the resumption of our flights to Malta, which marks a vibrant addition to our robust European network,” said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.
