Riyadh hotel occupancy above 70% in February

ADR and RevPAR remain stable in Saudi Arabia’s capital

According to new findings from hospitality industry data provider Smith Travel Research (STR), Riyadh’s hotel industry showed steady performance levels in February 2022 compared to recent months.

Hotels in the Saudi Arabian capital reported an occupancy rate of 72% during February, while the average daily rate (ADR) stood at SR652 ($174). Meanwhile, revenue per available room (RevPAR) reached SR471 (US$125) during the month.

Signalling a move towards sector recovery, this was Riyadh’s third February since 2015 with a hotel occupancy level above 70% and the recorded RevPAR was the market’s second-highest of the pandemic era, slightly behind December 2021 at SR472 (US$126).
