Rogier Van Enk brings commercial experience from British Airways and Finnair
Saudi's budget airline Flyadeal has appointed Rogier Van Enk as Chief Commercial and Customer Officer.
He replaces Trevor Spinks, who led Flyadeal’s commercial ship in an advisory role over the past 12 months, securing profitability for the the first time in its seven-year history.
Armed with a wealth of industry experience, Dutch national Van Enk joins Saudi's youngest low-cost carrier (LCC) at a time of accelerated growth.
The Middle East's fastest growing LCC, Flyadeal is launching one new route, on average, every two weeks in 2025, and its fleet and network are set to triple in number to more than 100 aircraft and destinations, respectively, by 2030.
Flyadeal is the region's fastest growing low-cost carrier
CEO Steven Greenway said Van Enk’s experience working across many commercial and customer functions within full-service airlines in Europe makes him the “ideal appointment” to take the budget carrier's commercial helm.
Van Enk joins Flyadeal from Finnair, the national carrier of Finland, where he spent 12 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Customer Engagement, responsible for managing the airline’s B2C business. He has also served as Head of Distribution and Payments at British Airways.
Describing himself on his LinkedIn profile as a "passionate leader in the airline industry", Van Enk brings strong experience in integrating digital innovation to enhance commercial operations and expertise in strategic planning and analytics.

“Rogier’s deep insights and knowledge gained in the digital space at Finnair and British Airways will contribute towards Flyadeal’s continued mandate to remain digitally driven keeping both costs low and fares extremely competitive,” Greenway added.
Relocating to Saudi with his family, Van Enk said he was looking forward to joining an “exciting young airline that is maturing very fast”.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to join Flyadeal that has ambitious, yet realistic growth targets fully aligned with the kingdom’s Vision 2030 of building a dynamic aviation and tourism industry.”
Van Enk joins as Flyadeal prepares for its busy summer season with the launch of flights to the coastal city of Trabzon in Turkey, the capitals of Azerbaijan (Baku) and Georgia (Tbilisi), the Egyptian resort town of Sharm El Sheikh, as well as Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzogovina, and, for the first time, Salalah in southern Oman.
