Beachfront property is kingdom’s first with a water park
Rixos Hotels has opened Rixos Murjana, the largest all-inclusive resort in Saudi Arabia and the brand’s second property in the kingdom. Spanning 275,000 square metres along the Red Sea coastline, the new resort adds to the growing number of premium family-friendly destinations opening in the country.
Located in the King Abdullah Economic City, Rixos Murjana is easily accessible from key gateways, including Jeddah and Madinah. Designed as a coastal family retreat, it offers 488 rooms and suites and 33 villas. Rates start from AED389 per night for a king room and go up to AED3,240 for a villa that can accommodate up to 10 guests. For more privacy, Club Privé by Rixos offers private villas with butler services and access to a dedicated clubhouse and beach club.
Rixos is also the first resort in Saudi to feature an integrated water park. Set across 28,500-square-metres, the Murjana Waterpark is home to 11 rides, from wave pools and slides to a splash zone for children. Additional leisure facilities include one of the largest kids’ clubs in the kingdom, plus a year-round calendar of live entertainment.
Wellness and health facilities include the Anjana Spa – with 12 treatment rooms, saunas and private couple’s suites – and an exclusive sports club offering solo and group fitness sessions.
For dining, guests can choose from five restaurants and three social lounges. Options range from Mediterranean eateries to a cigar lounge, beach club and Godiva Cafe.
