Ellen Porrmann will be tasked with driving revenue across both properties
Sister properties Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi have appointed Ellen Porrmann as director of operations.
With more than 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry, Porrmann comes to the team from Shangri-La The Shard, London, where she served as director of rooms. During her time there, she enhanced guest experiences and ensured operational efficiency.

Prior to Porrmann’s role at Shangri-La The Shard, she held significant leadership positions at other renowned hotels, demonstrating her ability to streamline operational processes, improve guest satisfaction and boost revenue growth.
Porrmann has worked at prestigious hotel chains including the Landmark Lancaster Hotel Group, SBE, Ennismore and Hilton, honing her skills and leadership abilities across various countries, including the UK, Australia, Qatar and Germany.
