Sushisamba to open in Dubai’s Palm Tower in November

With existing outlets in London and Las Vegas, the concept will bring its fusion of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine to Dubai

What seems like the longest-awaited restaurant launch in Dubai’s culinary history has often raised the question: does the emirate need another Japanese-Latin American fusion restaurant? Time will finally tell as Sunset Hospitality Group has announced that Sushisamba will open in Dubai in November 2021.

Set atop the 52-storey Palm Tower on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah the restaurant features a theatre-style open kitchen with a sushi counter and robata grill, appealing to the clientele of similarly equipped venues such as Roka and Zuma.

Sushisamba Dubai culinary director Moon Kyung Soo said: “Dubai is one of the most sophisticated cosmopolitan cities in the world. It is a unique melting pot of cultures and traditions, and we have used this inspiration, along with the city’s inherent penchant for glamour, to create a Sushisamba location that was as refined and dynamic as Dubai.”

Speaking about the launch, Sunset Hospitality Group CEO Antonio Gonzalez said: “Sushisamba Dubai is one of our most ambitious projects. Bringing the brand to Dubai after its international success in London and Las Vegas is a key milestone for Sunset Hospitality.”

Gonzalez added that, along with the concept’s signature dishes, there will be new additions to the Dubai menu created with the city’s dynamic dining scene in mind.
