The Maldives’ Sun Siyam Iru Fushi launches conservation snorkelling

Part of the resort’s Sun Siyam Cares initiative, the activity is open to strong swimmers

Visitors to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi in the Maldives can now play an active role in preserving coral reefs and marine life while also enjoying a snorkelling safari.

Guided by the resort’s resident marine biologist, the Conservation Snorkelling excursion will give guests the chance to explore the underwater ecosystem while also contributing to data collection on coral health and fish populations.

Part of the resort’s Sun Siyam Cares initiative, the activity is open to strong swimmers who are comfortable snorkelling.

“Through activities like Conservation Snorkelling, we encourage our guests to explore and actively protect the ocean.”

Sun Siyam Iru Fushi has 138 beach villas, 80 over-water villas, and three inland retreats.

The resort is a 45-minute seaplane flight from Malé’s Velana International Airport.
