The most visited place on Earth is revealed...

... and it's in Dubai 

The Dubai Mall has clocked up 57 million visitors in first six months of 2024 making it the most visited place on Earth for the second year running, according to developer Emaar.

In the first six months of 2024, Dubai Mall also recorded growth in retail sales, up 15% on the same period last year.

Last year, the mall also took the title of the most visited place on Earth after achieving a new attendance record of 105 million visitors in 2023, a 19% increase on the previous year. So far this year, visitor numbers are five million higher than the same period in 2023.

Last month, Emaar Properties announced an expansion of the mall, which – once complete – will add 240 more luxury stores and food and beverage outlets.

Emaar Properties founder Mohamed Alabbar said of the achievement: "Dubai Mall continues to set new benchmarks in retail and leisure, drawing millions from around the world and it reflects the hard work and dedication of our team and partners.
