Resort makeover includes introduction of open-air concerts and Zuma pop-up

RAK Hospitality Holding, the company behind Ras Al Khaimah’s Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert resort, has unveiled its new look.

The reimagined desert retreat includes its new Signature Villas, the debut of the first Zuma pop-up in the desert, the opening of Farmhouse by acclaimed chef Syrco Bakker and a concert series, which began with a show by international DJ Armin van Buuren.

“Our award-winning desert resort has grown from strength to strength, amassing many accolades and is a firm favourite in Ras Al Khaimah,” said Alison Grinnell, CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding.

“Bringing renowned brands like Zuma and celebrity chefs such as Syrco Bakker alongside a completely new outdoor music series inspired by the emirate’s natural landscapes will only elevate the resort as a leading luxury destination.”

The 900-square-metre Signature Villas offer personalised butler service.

The Zuma restaurant pop-up serves signature dishes such as miso-marinated black cod alongside contemporary Japanese favourites and boasts desert views.

The resort’s new Farmhouse restaurant menu is inspired by its natural surrounds with a focus on sustainability, traceability and local ingredients. Described as having “a rustic yet refined atmosphere”, it's designed to “connect guests to the essence of the land”.
