Passengers can choose from three packages, priced according to luggage requirements
Sharjah Airport has unveiled a new home check-in service to facilitate smoother journeys and minimise crowding at the airport.
Travellers can book one of three different services. The Coral Package (AED145) covers one to two bags, the Silver Package (AED165) allows for three to four bags, and the Gold Package (AED185) accommodates up to six bags. Additional pieces of luggage costs AED20 per bag, with allowance based on the booked airline’s baggage policy.
Bookings can be made through the airport’s website or by calling 800 745 424. A designated mobile app for the service, SHJ Home Check-In, is also available. Reservations for the service must be made eight hours prior to the flight departure time.

The home check-in team will conduct all services from issuing boarding passes to collecting luggage, allowing passengers to proceed straight to immigration on their travel day.
The new initiative comes as Sharjah Airport records its highest-ever quarterly passenger numbers, serving more than 5 million travellers in the third quarter of 2025. The milestone reflects a growing trend of record performances across airports in the Middle East. According to the World Airport Traffic Report by Airports Council International (ACI), the Middle East is projected to handle 466 million passengers in 2025.
Many airlines within the UAE have launched alternative check-in services to streamline travel. In June 2025, FlyDubai unveiled a city check-in centre in Sharjah, while Air Arabia launched a check-in facility in Dubai’s Al Barsha Mall.
