Yann Decaix brings more than a decade of Middle East experience
Valor Hospitality Partners has appointed Yann Decaix as Cluster General Manager for its multi-brand portfolio across Dubai’s Deira district, one of the city’s most historic neighbourhoods.
With nearly three decades of industry experience, including ten years in the Middle East, Decaix will now oversee seven properties under the Radisson Blu, Novotel, Mercure, Aparthotel Adagio and Ibis Styles brands.
He brings extensive international leadership experience, having previously held many senior management roles with Accor and Minor Hotels. Most recently, he served as GM of NH Collection Colombo, where he led the rebranding of former operator Mövenpick, marking the group’s debut in Sri Lanka.
In his new role, Decaix will focus on strengthening asset performance and guest experiences across the portfolio, collaborating closely with owners, brand partners and on-site teams.

Throughout his career, Decaix has demonstrated a strong track record in business growth, delivering positive cash flow, year-on-year increases in gross operating profit and higher guest satisfaction scores, notably during his tenure at Avani Ibn Battuta. In 2025, he was appointed by ministerial decree as a French Foreign Trade Advisor, supporting public authorities in tourism and international trade.
Commenting on his appointment, Decaix said, “This role offers a compelling opportunity to guide the Gold District through its next phase of growth. I look forward to partnering with our teams and ownership to elevate performance, strengthen value creation and shape experiences that resonate meaningfully with guests.”
Decaix’s appointment comes as Valor continues to grow its regional footprint. In Saudi Arabia, the hospitality group is set to develop 25 new hotels across the kingdom, adding 3,000 keys, with the first opening slated for December 2026.
