Fourteen weekly services to begin from summer 2026 under new codeshare agreement
Etihad Airways and German carrier Condor Flugdienst have partnered to launch new daily flights from both Berlin and Frankfurt to Abu Dhabi from summer 2026 as part of a strategic codeshare agreement.
Beginning 1 May 2026, Condor will operate daily flights between Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) and Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) using its Airbus A330 aircraft. Flights will depart FRA at 21:55, arriving at AUH at 06:10 the following day. The return service will leave AUH at 14:05, landing in Frankfurt at 18:45.
Daily services from Berlin to the UAE capital will follow on 15 June 2026, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft. Departures from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) are scheduled for 16:40 with arrival in Abu Dhabi at 01:00, while the return flight leaves AUH at 02:15 and lands in Berlin at 07:15.
Together, the new routes will add 14 weekly services, expanding direct access between Germany and the UAE. Travellers will benefit from seamless onward connectivity through both airlines’ combined networks, covering more than 90 destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia.
Under the codeshare agreement, Etihad Guest members will be able to earn and redeem miles on Condor-operated flights between Frankfurt, Berlin and Abu Dhabi. Additional loyalty benefits are expected to be introduced as the partnership develops.
Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said: “We are delighted to announce this strategic partnership with Condor and welcome their new services to Abu Dhabi. Germany is a vital market for Etihad, and adding Berlin alongside new Frankfurt options meets clear passenger demand – including a direct capital-to-capital link that further strengthens UAE-Germany ties.”
Jens Boyd, Commercial Director and Member of the Executive Committee at Condor, added: “This codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways is the foundation for our new services to Abu Dhabi, connecting Germany’s capital Berlin and Europe’s financial hub Frankfurt more efficiently to the GCC and beyond.”

The new Condor flights will complement Etihad’s existing operations to Germany, which include double-daily services to Frankfurt, daily flights to Munich and a recently launched daily connection to Düsseldorf.
The new partnership comes as Etihad reported its highest-ever nine‑month profit, posting AED1.7 billion (US$463 million), a 26% rise compared with the same period last year.
The airline, which carried 16.1 million passengers in the first nine months of 2025, has been ramping up its codeshare agreements in recent months, recently partnering with Hong Kong Airlines to allow passengers to travel using one ticket with single check-in and enjoy reciprocal loyalty programme benefits.
