Members also gain flexibility, faster tier upgrades and new travel perks
Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has launched a major update to its loyalty programme, Etihad Guest, giving members the ability to redeem miles for any seat on any Etihad flight, with flexible fare options aligned to the airline’s commercial pricing.
As part of the overhaul, Etihad Guest has rebranded its GuestSeat reward as the Saver Award, providing members with a clearer, simpler way to use miles. The Saver Award retains the fixed-rate redemption system, but now features more transparent pricing and closer alignment with Etihad’s standard fares.
Members can redeem miles at the lowest available rates, with added options for flexibility such as easier changes or refunds, enabling travellers to better see and compare the value of award tickets versus cash fares.
Available exclusively to programme members, the Saver Award can be redeemed across Etihad’s expanding worldwide network and through more than 26 airline partners, the largest non-allied frequent flyer network in the industry.
This includes on flights to Hong Kong and to African destinations, including Kampala, Kinshasa and Lusaka, thanks to Etihad’s recently launched frequent flyer partnerships with Hong Kong Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines.

Members now benefit from new levels of flexibility when redeeming miles, including choices for fully refundable award tickets. Redemption bookings for Comfort and Deluxe fares also earn Tier Miles at rates from 25% to 50%, enabling members to progress more quickly through Etihad Guest’s tiers.
Additional benefits include complimentary Etihad Chauffeur service across the UAE for Business Comfort and Business Deluxe award bookings, as well as the expanded use of UAE-issued co-brand credit card vouchers, now valid across all fare brands.
Mark Potter, Managing Director of Etihad Guest, said: “Etihad Guest is designed to reward loyalty, and these changes ensure our members enjoy even greater flexibility and transparency when redeeming their miles. Saver Award seats highlight the exclusive value our members deserve, with more ways to tailor their travel to their needs and flexibility across every seat.”
Etihad Guest offers five membership tiers, with progression and benefits aligned to both flight activity and overall spend. The programme surpassed 10 million members in 2025.
