Seasonal services operate from late May to September
Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air, will resume seasonal services to Geneva, Switzerland and Nice, France, to meet high travel demand over the summer months.
Services to Nice will operate from 24 May to 27 September 2026, while flights to Geneva will run from 5 June to 11 September. Nice was first introduced as a seasonal route in 2021, followed by Geneva in 2024, providing Gulf passengers with enhanced connectivity to key European hubs.
Gulf Air will operate two weekly flights to each destination via Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP), with additional connectivity options through partner airlines, including Lufthansa, ITA Airways and Aegean Airlines, offering stopovers in Germany, Italy and Greece, respectively.
Flights to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, departing Bahrain International Airport (BAH) at 01:40 and arriving at 09:00 with connections in MXP on both legs. Return flights will leave Nice at 09:50, landing in Bahrain at 18:45.

Geneva services will run on Tuesdays and Fridays, departing BAH at 01:40 and arriving at Geneva Airport (GVA) at 08:40, with MXP connections both ways. Inbound services will leave Geneva at 09:40 and arrive in Bahrain at 18:35.
Martin Gauss, CEO of Gulf Air, said: “Europe continues to be a preferred summer travel destination for passengers from Bahrain and the wider region.
“With the return of Geneva and Nice, Gulf Air can offer customers convenient schedules, reliable service, and access to two popular destinations. The focus remains on aligning the network with seasonal demand and customer preferences.”
This network expansion follows Gulf Air’s international growth in 2025, which included the launch of its first-ever transatlantic flight to New York and confirmation of new Boeing 787 Dreamliner purchases at the Dubai Airshow to support future route development.
