Saudi Arabia’s second service after Riyadh promises faster, stress-free processing
Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flynas has introduced dedicated family check-in counters at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport, making the pre-flight experience smoother and less stressful for families travelling with children.
The initiative aims to ease congestion and reduce waiting times, with trained staff on hand to assist with strollers, child restraints and additional baggage.
The launch in Jeddah follows the rollout of the same service at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport earlier this year, positioning Flynas as the first airline in Saudi Arabia to introduce dedicated family check-in facilities.
Located in a brightly branded area of the terminal, the custom-built counters feature child-height desks and colourful visuals of the airline’s mascot, Fernas.
Young travellers receive customised boarding passes, while parents benefit from faster processing handled by personnel trained in family assistance.

Flynas said the service, part of its wider effort to enhance convenience for passengers, will be expanded to other domestic and international airports in the coming months, including Dammam and Madinah.
The Riyadh-based low-cost carrier operates more than 2,000 weekly flights across 139 routes linking over 70 destinations in 30 countries.
As part of its 2025 network expansion, Flynas will resume direct Jeddah–Kuwait services on 1 November, bringing total weekly flights between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to 10 and has also recently added three weekly flights between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, raising its daily Saudi-UAE flights to 20.
Other additions include new routes to Milan, Geneva, Krakow, Rize and Casablanca, alongside increased capacity to Egypt’s North Coast.
Flynas aims to expand its network to 165 destinations by 2030, supporting Saudi Arabia’s target of connecting the Kingdom to 250 global destinations.
