Increased frequencies, resumed routes and new destinations from Emirates, Flyadeal and more
Travellers from the Middle East have more flight options from November 2025, including new destinations, additional services on high-demand routes and first-time carriers entering exciting new markets.
From the first-ever direct link between Oman and China to twice weekly flights connecting Abu Dhabi with Assuit in Upper Egypt, and increased frequencies from the region to destinations including London and Istanbul, here are 10 direct flights to know about:
1 Etihad Airways: Abu Dhabi-Madinah
The UAE’s national airline will launch direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Madinah, Saudi Arabia’s Holy City, starting 9 November, with six weekly frequencies. The flights will run every day except Mondays, departing Zayed International Airport (AUH) at 14:30, arriving Medina Airport (MED) at 16:25. The flight will depart AUH at 20:55, arriving MED at 00:10 the next day.
2 Emirates: Dubai-London
From November, regional passengers have access to 48 weekly flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and London Heathrow (LHR), with six more added on 26 October. New flights run throughout the winter season on all days except Friday, departing DXB on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 13:40hrs, arriving in LHR at 17:40hrs, and on Thursdays at 12:55, arriving in LHR at 16:55. The return flight departs LHR at 22:35hrs on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday.
Switzerland’s Edelweiss Air has rolled out twice-weekly seasonal flights from Zurich Airport (ZRH) to Oman, running through May 2026. Operating on Tuesdays and Fridays, the service departs ZRH at 22:30, arriving in Salalah International Airport (SLL), via a short stop in Muscat, at 08:20 the next morning. The return flight departs SLL at 09:25, arriving in ZRH early afternoon.
From November, Saudi’s low-cost carrier will fly from Riyadh to Lahore, Pakistan, becoming its fifth destination in Pakistan with a total Pakistan network frequency of 18 flights per week. Operated twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays, the non-stop service departs Riyadh (RUH) at 07:55, arriving in Lahore (LHE) at 14:00, with the return flight leaving at 15:00 and reaching Riyadh at 18:00.

5 Air Arabia Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi-Assuit
The airline introduces a new route linking the UAE capital with Assiut in Upper Egypt, with flights starting on 4 November 2025. Flights will operate twice weekly, every Tuesday and Friday, with the outbound service departing Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) at 03:10, arriving at Assiut International Airport (ATZ) at 05:35. The return leg will depart ATZ at 06:15, landing at AUH at 11:30.
6 Turkish Airlines: Abu Dhabi-Istanbul
Turkish Airlines is boosting connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Istanbul with the introduction of four additional weekly flights, taking its total to 14 per week from 26 October. The first departs AUH at 01:35, arriving in IST at 05:30, while the second leaves AUH at 07:55, touching down in IST at 12:10 local time.
7 China Eastern Airlines: Muscat-Beijing
This Chinese carrier will launch Beijing-Muscat flights from 30 November, marking the first-ever direct air link between Oman and China. The twice-weekly service will operate on Sundays and Wednesdays using an Airbus A330-300 with 299 seats.
From 3 November, German carrier Eurowings will operate three weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Berlin on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Departures from Zayed International Airport (AUH) are scheduled for 02:40, arriving in Berlin Brandenburg (BER) at 07:10, with return flights at 21:10, arriving in AUH at 06:05 the next day.
9 Fly Jinnah: Dubai-Lahore
Starting 29 October, the new route from this low-cost airline now connects Pakistan directly to both Sharjah and Dubai. Flights will operate twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday, departing from Dubai International Airpot (DXB) at 23:00, arriving in Allama Iqbal International Airport at 03:00 the following day. The return flight leaves Lahore at 18:45, arriving in Dubai at 09:35 GST.
Lufthansa has returned to Saudi capital Riyadh this year, resuming its Munich–Riyadh service on 26 October after an eight-year absence. The service will run three times a week, departing Munich at 21:45, arriving in Riyadh at 04:50 the following day. The return flight leaves Riyadh at 06:25, touching down in Munich at 10:25.
