All rooms and dining venues to be redesigned and upgraded
JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai has initiated a major renovation programme in April 2026, marking a new phase for one of the world’s largest five-star properties.
Under the programme, all 1,608 guest rooms and suites will be redesigned, alongside upgrades to the hotel’s two executive lounges. Several of its signature dining venues, including Prime68, Vault and Kitchen6, will also undergo a full transformation.
The renovation will reflect changing guest demands, prioritising spaces tailored to business travellers alongside an expanded dining portfolio.
The project will be carried out in phases, allowing the hotel to remain operational throughout. One tower will continue to receive guests while work takes place in the other, with key facilities such as restaurants, event spaces and Saray Spa remaining open.

Dubai’s Jumeirah Burj Al Arab to close for 18-month restoration
Gerrit Graef, General Manager at JW Marriott Marquis, said. “We are not simply re-designing spaces, we are rethinking how the hotel feels, how it functions and how it serves our guests going forward.
“The goal is not to change who we are, but to refine it. To make the experience more relevant, more intuitive, and more aligned with what today’s traveller expects. Throughout this process, what will remain constant is our commitment to exceptional service and to the people who bring this hotel to life every day.”
The move comes amid a wave of updates to major properties across Dubai’s hospitality scene. Jumeirah Burj Al Arab has closed for an 18-month restoration programme for the first time in its 25-year history, while Park Hyatt Dubai will also shut temporarily from May 2026 for the final stage of its long-term renovation. Additionally, Anantara World Islands Dubai ceased operations on 10 April 2026.
