Originally planned for late May, eighth edition postponed due to regional conflict
The Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo has been rescheduled and will now take place from 30 August to 1 September 2026 in response to ongoing regional tensions.
Originally planned for 19 to 21 May 2026, the eighth edition of the exhibition will bring together industry experts to showcase trends and innovations shaping the regional entertainment landscape. Existing exhibitors and registrations will automatically be transferred to the new dates.
In a statement, the organisers said: “The revised dates ensure we can deliver the quality of experience and breadth of participation SEA Expo is recognised for, while accommodating logistical challenges currently affecting some travel and freight shipments.”

Hosted in partnership with the Ministry of Investment and the General Entertainment Authority, the SEA Expo will take place at Riyadh Front, one of the kingdom’s largest exhibition centres. The Middle East Museum and Heritage Expo and the Saudi Light and Sound Expo will also run alongside the SEA Expo, giving attendees access to multiple exhibitions in one venue.
Across the GCC, similar postponements and cancellations are affecting regional events. Formula 1 has called off the Saudi Arabian and Bahrain Grands Prix, both originally scheduled for April 2026. Several Arabian Sea sailings have also been cancelled by cruise lines, including Aroya, NCL, Celestyal and TUI.
In the UAE, Arabian Travel Market and Airport Show, both to be hosted by RX at the Dubai World Trade Centre, have been postponed. Arabian Travel Market will now run from 17 to 20 August, while the Dubai Airport Show is set for 12 to 14 October.
