8 new domestic flights launched by Saudia Group to support tourism in Aseer

Services from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam to boost visitor numbers to regional capital Abha

In a bid to promote the Saudi Arabian city of Abha as a premier destination during the Aseer Season, Saudi Arabia's Saudia airline has announced the addition of eight new daily flights from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam to Abha, the capital of Aseer.

In partnership with Saudia's low-cost sister airline Flyadeal, the move underscores Saudia Group’s dedication to bolstering domestic tourism.

Saudia has increased its daily flights to Abha from 14 to 19, marking a notable 35.71% growth. Flyadeal has expanded its daily operations from 14 to 17 flights, reflecting a 21.42% increase.

This expansion is a key part of Saudia Group’s commitment to supporting the Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the kingdom’s tourism offerings. 

Underscoring its achievements, Saudia was recently recognised as the World’s Most Improved Airline 2024 by Skytrax, marking the third time it has received this accolade, alongside 14 other distinguished awards.
