Sunshine and low crime rates gave the emirates high ranking
A study by Compare The Market analysed popular destinations around the world on a number of factors and an overall score was created for each country ranked.
Abu Dhabi was ranked as the third best place to purchase a holiday home in the research. As well as having high temperatures (averaging 28˚C) and low rainfall (around 11mm each month), Abu Dhabi has one of the lowest crime levels, too.
Following Abu Dhabi in fourth place is Dubai. Similar to Abu Dhabi, Dubai has high temperatures and low rainfall, perfect for sun worshippers looking to buy abroad.
As the capital of the northern Italian region Veneto, Venice is named the number one holiday home hotspot. Known for being built over a lagoon of more than 100 small islands on the shores of the Adriatic, it ranks as the number one destination due to its concentration of things to do, and places to eat and drink within its relatively small area.
