Crystal launches Abercrombie & Kent land-based excursions

Luxury cruise line Crystal is expanding its itineraries to include a series of immersive, land‑based adventures designed exclusively by sister company, Abercrombie & Kent (A&K). 

The By Abercrombie & Kent programme will be offered on Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony sailings in 2026, covering Africa, Asia, the South Pacific and the Mediterranean, and will include archaeological, cultural and wildlife experiences.

The aim is to transform the traditional ocean cruising experience beyond the ship with “unprecedented access to authentic, world‑class experiences", Crystal said in a statement.

Available to book now, the itineraries include pre‑ and post‑sailing extensions as well as multi‑day adventures mid‑voyage, allowing passengers to disembark, travel overland in small groups or privately, and rejoin the ship at another port.

Standout multi-day itineraries take travellers to world‑famous landmarks such as the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal and Australia’s sacred Uluru, with immersive experiences in Beijing including visits to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven before climbing to one of the Wall’s most striking vantage points. 

Other curated adventures transport guests to the archaeological wonders of Angkor Wat for private dinners at ancient temples accompanied by traditional dance; to Tuscany and Rome for truffle hunting, winery dinners and a stay in an 11th‑century castle; or deep into the Masai Mara and Serengeti to track lions and leopards while staying at A&K’s Sanctuary Retreats luxury camps.
