Figure represents highest-ever quarterly traffic in airport’s 65-year history
The UAE’s Dubai International Airport (DXB) served 24.2 million guests between July and September 2025, marking the highest-ever quarterly traffic recorded in the airport’s history since its launch in 1960.
The Q3 surge boosted total traffic for 2025 so far to more than 70 million passengers, representing a 2.1% increase from 2024.
Operations across the airport remained active in the third quarter with DXB handling 115,000 flights during this period and 336,000 flights between January and September, up by 2.7% compared to 2024.
The airport also continues to prioritise efficient passenger processing, with more than 99% of departing travellers clearing passport control in under 10 minutes and completing security screening in less than five minutes, according to data.
More than 63 million bags were also handled in the first nine months of 2025, with 90% delivered to travellers within 45 minutes of aircrafts’ arrival times.

India is DXB’s top country market to date this year, with 8.8 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia, the UK, Pakistan and the US. Among specific cities, London leads with 2.8 million passengers, followed by Riyadh, Mumbai, Jeddah and New Delhi.

DXB airport continues to introduce new enhancements for travellers, including their latest project, CB Central at Terminal 3. The new family-friendly area, split into CB East and CB West, will feature a range of restaurants, premium shopping experiences and entertainment areas.
Terminal 1 will also introduce a new area, CD Central, offering travellers views of the airfield, major retail stores and passenger waiting areas.
In addition to enhancements at DXB, Dubai Airports is also preparing for the shift to Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC), which will become the city’s main international gateway in 2030.
