UAE carrier to offer daily flights to Boston and operate Airbus A350 service to Toronto

The national airline of the UAE, Etihad Airways, has further cemented its commitment to the North American market by increasing flights to Boston (pictured) and introducing its A350 to its Toronto service.

From 27 October 2024, Etihad will increase non-stop flights between Boston and Abu Dhabi from four flights per week to one a day.

Etihad’s daily passengers travelling from Abu Dhabi to Boston Logan International Airport will fly in a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which has 28 Business Class seats and 262 Economy seats.

Flight to Boston from 27 October 2024 will depart Abu Dhabi at 10:10am, arriving in Boston at 3:20pm (local time). The return service will depart Boston at 10:20pm, landing back in the UAE capital at 7:15pm.

The decision is based on the route’s strong performance and comes just three months after Etihad Airways introduced Boston as its fourth destination in the US.

Other destinations in the US network are Chicago, New York and Washington DC. The airline's North American footprint also includes Toronto, Canada.

Etihad has confirmed it will begin flying its Airbus A350 to Canada's Toronto Pearson Airport daily.

The A350 aircraft is one of the most efficient in the world, according to the airline, with 25% less fuel burn and CO2 emissions than previous models.

The aircraft also features Etihad’s newest cabin interiors. The upgraded Business class is home to 44 Business Studios that provide each guest with more privacy within their suite. In addition to facing forward with direct aisle access, every Business class seat converts into a fully flat bed of 79 inches in length with ample storage, built-in wireless charging docks and Bluetooth headphone pairing for added convenience.

From 27 October 2024, flights to Toronto will depart Abu Dhabi at 2:35am, arriving in the Canadian capital at 8:15am, while return flights will depart Toronto at 2:20pm and land back in the UAE capital at 12:10pm.

“Our Boston service continues to perform strongly, with our flights near capacity since our inaugural flight this March,” said Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De.

“Having already experienced record passenger demand, we’re excited to invest further in the North American market by expanding our flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season.”
