Etihad to launch A380 UAE-Singapore flight in 2025

Carrier will also increase flights to Thailand as it expands Asia network 

UAE airline Etihad Airways has announced it will begin flying its A380 double-decker to Singapore from 1 February 2025. 

The news came as the airline shared that it was also increasing the numbers of flights to Thailand to 41 per week as it expands its Asia network. 

Singapore will become the the fourth major city to enjoy the Etihad A380 experience in addition to London, New York and Paris, which will be served by the A380 from 1 November 2024.

Etihad Airways’ CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, said: “We are thrilled to announce that our iconic A380 aircraft will begin serving the Singapore route early next year. 

“This aircraft provides our business and leisure travellers with an exceptional flying experience and seamless connections to our Middle East, European, and North American networks. 

“We will have our sixth A380 online next year as we build our capacity further to cater for the travel needs of our guests.”

The daily A380 service from Abu Dhabi to Singapore will depart the UAE capital at 10:05pm, arriving in Singapore at 9:35am (local time). Flights will depart the Asian hub at 7:25pm, arriving back in Abu Dhabi at 11:20pm. 

The increase in flights to Thailand will begin on 27 October 2024, the decision a result of increased demand. The airline will fly three times a day to Bangkok, giving travellers even more flexibility and timing convenience when planning their trip.

These flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 9:35am, 2:35pm, 10:10pm, arriving in Bangkok at 6:35pm, 11:35pm and 7:10am respectively.

Return flights will leave Bangkok at 8:25pm, 2:15am, 8:50am, arriving back in Abu Dhabi at 12:30am, 6:20am and 12:55pm, respectively.

Additionally, Etihad will fly to Phuket 20 times a week, offering more opportunity for visitors to enjoy the island. 

The flights will operate daily, departing Abu Dhabi at 9am, 2:30pm, and 10pm, which land in Phuket at 6:05pm, 11:35pm and 7:05am respectively.

Return flights will leave Phuket at 8:45pm, 2:50am and 8:50am daily, these flights landing at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at 12:25am, 6:30am and 12:30pm.
