Members of both brands’ loyalty programmes can link accounts to earn miles and ’Smiles’ rewards
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has signed a partnership with Smiles, the loyalty programme and app from e& UAE.
The partnership means that members of both loyalty programmes will be able to link accounts and use rewards from both programmes interchangeably. Etihad Guest travel miles can be used at e&’s retail Smile app outlets, and Smiles shopping points can be turned into flights and upgrades, as well as hotel stays.
On the Smiles app, users have access to over 55 lifestyle services, including grocery deliveries and phone bill payments.
The move gives users greater flexibility, with the potential to earn more rewards and have more options on how to use them.

To begin the points exchange process, customers who are subscribed to both programmes must use the ‘Rewards Exchange’ section on the Smiles app to link both accounts and transfer loyalty points between Etihad Guest and Smiles.
