Maldives' Atmosphere Core group appoints new GMs

Philippe Claverotte to lead Oblu Select Sangeli while Jenni Hartatik will oversee Raaya By Atmosphere

Maldives-based hospitality group Atmosphere Core has appointed Philippe Claverotte and Jenni Hartatik to its leadership team.

Claverotte has been appointed Vice President of Operations and General Manager of Raaya By Atmosphere, while Hartatik has been named General Manager of Oblu Select Sangeli (lead picture), both located within The Maldives. 

French national Claverotte joined Atmosphere Core in 2019 as the General Manager at Atmosphere Kanifushi. He transferred to Varu by Atmosphere as General Manager in February 2021, where he led the team for three years.

Claverotte’s career spans almost 30 years and includes reputed luxury hotel groups and resorts in 12 countries. This appointment is his seventh leadership role in a luxury property.

Claverotte’s said: “At Raaya by Atmosphere, as we rebrand, my focus remains on driving operations and business strategies, while also developing and motivating the team.”

Jenni Hartatik

Veteran hotelier Jenni Hartatik brings 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality to her new role at Oblu Select Sangeli, a private island within the Colours of Oblu brand. 

Hartatik has held senior positions at prestigious properties around the world, including roles as General Manager at international hotels in Indonesia and China.

She has honed her skills through specialised training and international exposure gained from hands-on experiences with high-revenue markets across Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.

Hartatik is fluent in English, Mandarin and Indonesian, and has also studied Japanese, Cambodian and German.

“Coming from another island country, Indonesia, I can easily connect with Maldivians’ soul-deep hospitality culture,” Hartatik said.
