Mandarin Oriental opens luxury property in Doha

The five-star hotel combines contemporary design with subtle elements of traditional Qatari heritage

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the opening of its new five-star property in Qatar, Mandarin Oriental, Doha, in the heart of the capital city.

Located in trendy Msheireb Downtown Doha, Mandarin Oriental, Doha is within walking distance to several landmarks including Souq Waqif and the Museum of Islamic Art. The hotel is a short distance from the business district West Bay. The area is home to high-end dining experiences and eclectic cafés, pedestrian-friendly streets, and a convenient tram network. 

Designed by the renowned David Collins Studio, the hotel’s 117 rooms, 41 suites and 91 serviced apartments are elegant and contemporary with subtle elements of traditional Qatari pearling heritage.

The property offers guests international cuisine at Mosaic, Mediterranean flavours at Izu, and Chinese delicacies at Liang.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Doha occupies 3,030sqm. Among its treatment rooms are two VIP suites and one couple’s suite, two VIP suites. There are also two indoor pools.

Qatar has recently relaxed regulations for vaccinated GCC travellers who can now visit without undergoing quarantine.
